• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

BEACHGOERS DREAM

:yikes: If something ever went wrong with a landing: those folks would be wishing that they had vacationed in Walt Disney World instead... nojoke

We spent a wknd in Myrtle Beach, S.C. last summer. IT seemed like they were that close, but actually were nowhere NEAR that close.......Holy crap, that's gotta be hard on the eardrums.:yikes:

Wasn't that poor lady killed, when she hit her head on the retaining wall?

From reports, the woman in the 2012 video was not seriously hurt, however there was a 57 year old woman who died more recently.
Seems like a really stupid idea. Putting yourself into such danger merely for the excitement.
Excuse me, I've got to go check the battery tender on my Spyder before I go skiing.

Thanks for that clarification!
I was pretty sure that I had read about a death from this: I just got the wrong lady... :opps:

How would you like to be on the beach when this goes by?

Deb and I have been there three times.

We were never so stupid as to go and stand by the fence when one was taking off. That is just plain stupid, but people always rush up there to stand by the fence when one is taking off, or landing. At least they close the road each time.

It is quite a feeling when a big 747 jumbo lands and it clears the fence by only 15'-20'.

We were there for an hour, or so each time and the planes take off and land constantly.
