• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Be Very Careful - First Motorcycle Fatality in Minneapolis, MN -- POTHOLE cause

:pray::pray::pray: go out to his family. Deanna777

P.S. We have potholes on our roads under the snow in Vermont.

Bottom Line...

It Wasn't the Pothole...

If you are going to ride twice the speed limit while weaving in and out of traffic (especially at night) you can't afford for anything to go wrong or to make any mistake. If anything at all happens, you're probably going to die, and that is pretty much what happened.

Finding the helmet NOT on the rider's head is VERY COMMON! That is because about 70% of riders are wearing a helmet that is at LEAST 1 size too big for their head. About 30% are wearing a helmet 2 sizes too big for them. When you talk to people it's always someone else that is making up the 70% figure. And the few who acknowledge that they are wearing a helmet too big for them say they won't have it any other way. If you are one of these people your helmet will almost certainly come off in an accident.

Many times it comes off before you even hit the ground. In most cases it will come off with the 1st impact of your body with a solid object (not necessarily your head).

I've preached this until I'm blue in the face with, regrettably, little effect. But having seen what pavement does to an unprotected head, I will not give up.

I just had a customer that swore his Medium helmet was WAY TOO TIGHT! Yet it actually fit him perfectly. It didn't feel right to him so he changed the padding. Now he likes the fit, and he will be happy until he needs the helmet for something more than a wind screen.

A properly fit helmet is TIGHT! If it isn't, you don't have much protection. Once you get used to a properly fit helmet, you'll never go back.

There are some very easy ways to check and see if your helmet is at least close to properly fit.
