• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Be careful, do not buy from wingdreams.com

One would think that after my first post a week ago and all the negative response that has been posted as well about these guys they would spend the 45 second and do the right thing by me, but NO still no credit of my $254. O well it is in the hands of the credit card company, you live and learn and my lesson is do not deal with mickey mouse companies.

Go here https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/
Federal Trade Commission - you can make a complaint there. Good luck and I hope you get your money back!

As I have added to a few other threads - I also had to cancel my order - went directly to Kewlmetal and had the part in 3 days and saved $10 bucks -
With Spydersnest....first UPS truck issues, then computer issues and finally health issues. I give people the benefit of doubt to a certain extent then I call BS. Sorry if all these things were true - but the follow-up to keep customers happy was nill.

HE IS NOT A MARINE

Well if he is he a :cus: one, the terms HONOR, COURAGE AND COMMITMENT should come to this vendor that claimes to be one of my marines. I proudly serve and i dont :cus: people over. Dude if you plan to keep selling to spyder ryders we a close nit community. Please dont ever use the marine line again!!!!!!!!!!

Sad, sad....

Sad, Sad state of affairs. You would think after 11 years in business, (hard to believe isn't it?) they could get it right. And their products and return policies sound very consumer UNFRIENDLY. Customer service is not rocket science. You do the right thing and customers keep coming back and/or tell others of their great experience with your company. I work for a large company in the Materiels Management Dept. Makes me angry just reading these replies... just doesn't sound on the up and up. Sad...:lecturef_smilie:

Well - their shipping and return policies are just nuts. They won't be getting much business if they can't ship simple items in a timely manner and provide money back guarantees.

The Mirror extensions are not custom-made one at a time BTW. Kewlmetal stocks tons of them as does NMN.

I also don't get why neither he or his wife (nancyemh) haven't become a site sponsor or attempted to apologize and try and redeem their business out here.

Good vendors reputations travel really fast---- but bad vendors travel at light speed.

UPS and Fed-Ex just don't mess up much at all. I can count on one hand the number of shipments that I've had problems with in the last 20 years.

I had found the Spydernest site online awhile ago - glad I didn't order.

Always use your visa credit card folks - they will reverse things in most cases right away.

Live and learn.

It also seems they are a re-seller of NMN items----- NMN should be aware of how they are running their business- wouldn't want their poor business practices to badly reflect such a class act as NMN !

This disclaimer is also strange:

"The Cam Am Spyder is new to the market along with all the many accessories. Shipping of product can take as long as 6 weeks for delivery. All orders can not be canceled or returned using a timely manner as a excuse."

So they are saying I could order something from them, they take 6 weeks to ship-- and in the meantime I change my mind or find it somewhere else sooner---- and they think I can't cancel my order? They shouldn't charge your CC until they SHIP- so a cancel on a non-custom item shouldn't be a big deal.

Their whole site and policies sound like a bunch of pre-emptive excuses for when things go wrong.

unreal!

****, just ordered a yosh exhaust from them last night, didn't look at that bull**** 6 week shipping thing, Tim if you want any business again you should keep up on threads like this, I am only 4 states away and that is why I ordered from your site. Was hoping to get this from YOUR site by this weekend. if this is not possible this is my "excuse" according to your shipping policy. What going to happen tim.. I sent an email to both tim and nancy seeing if they are going to get that pipe I ordered by this weekend, from my paintball business I ran for 9 years I know its only a 2 day ship and that tracking numbers are emailed to customers with modern online ordering systems. We will see if they prove people wrong on their site.

quote///>>>>Tim HarmanNice talking to you Joe P. Folks our new phone system thats tied into our email server also handles our emails took a crap and we are waiting on the parts that will be here today FED EX. We posted this on all our websites. Sorry for the problems.

I don't get on here much or any other bbs systems. I don't like to get on anyone on a message board but. burg650 doesn't tell whole truth. When he places his order his card was no good. If I cheated him he should just report this to his card company and get his money back. Figure this out for yourself.

Nancy and I are the owners of Wing Dreams since 1998. A small but growing wings accessories shop here in Ohio. Just after Christmas we started up the Spyders Nest selling Spyder accessories also Then I had a major heart atack. Having just a few folks helping we got behind with everything. Dr says I should not even be back to work yet. But that my problem. We added a new phone system 4 weeks ago and seems it's more trouble that it's worth. Maybe simple is best. I always have people ask who I am when I talk to them on the phone.

Here is the short vertion. I spent may years in the Marines them working for the Gov. Thats how Joe P got hold of me. Nancy and I are State of Ohio directors of a goldwing club. We always raise money for the RFK.

Folks I will admit we have had a few problems in the last months but we are not crooks and always try to do things that are right. Even when a few try to take advantage. Thats all I will bore you with now I need to get working on the server problems. Once again Nice talking to you Joe and Semper Fi and thanks for your service.

Being we (NMN) are the only company in the world who makes the stainless steel elbow that works with a Yoshi muffler. I can tell you they have never ordered one of these from us to have there in stock?

I think shipping from us to Wing Dreams would be at least 2 days, then it has to go to you. Even if they have the muffler body in stock, I don't think this weekend is gonna happen unless you overnight the parts Sat delivery frist from us to thhem over night then overnight Sat delivery to you.

We have everything in stock, so it's not a backorder parts thing this time for sure so don't let them tell you that.

Hey Lamonster is this a viable option ?

I have a idea that might just keep us from :bdh:. I am new to the forum and the etiquette of a forum.

I do not wish to offend anyone, ( If I ever do please take me aside and tell me) all the posts I have read so far are very helpful, with a sprinkle of humor on occasion. thats how friends joke around.

When I joined (6 days ago) I was on this sight and read the headsup from Burg650 about Wing Dreams. I was chewing glass and spitting nails. If I had only known, I would have purchased from Kewlmetal first. Now that my blood pressure is back to normal may I throw this out there to see if it sticks to something. :chat:

I see that you have added a sub forum to general discussions for sponsors that have passed the sniff test.

I think you know where this is going. A sub foruum for companies of questionable ethics. we all have our stories the good the bad and the down right ugly.

The good companies should be rewarded with our hard earned money, and the bad ones can bugger off. Also the same could apply to dealers, the ones that want and appreciate our business, and the ones that just want a quick buck

This would help us rookies immensely. This forum has posts back to 2007. A lot of the imformation is just as relevent today for the new joiners. So by time you get to reading the older messages you've already got shafted

Getting the shaft from a dealer or parts company should not be a right of passage.

Dont get the wrong idea, I have no idea how much time and effort you have spent keeping this unruly lot inline :D. (me included) or the work involved adding a sub folder

If any lawyers in the group could give an opinion. IMHO the legality of telling your story about a specific company or dealer should not be libelous if all the facts are included. thereby letting the forum readers make an informed descision beforehand.

This forum is a great way to meet and make friends, to exchange ideas, and experiences. We should be watching out for each other. The members here from what I can gather cover quite a wide spectrum of life experiences. Only after Burg650 made his post did this issue come to light, (boy did it ever) for that my hat is off to you Burg650

Thanks for the suggestion but I've found through the years of running boards that there are at least two sides to every bad story and I'm not going to create a board for P***ing and Moaning about vendors or dealers that may or may not be the whole truth.:sour:
