• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

It has been my experience to stear clear of vendors sporting the fish. They seem to have a "higher" calling than good customer service IMHO

Got a $50 dollar gift card from my mom, so I bought some stuff been 2 months and nothing,, looks like they haven't changed from this 2013 post. If I belonged to the ohio spyder ryders I'd tell them to take there link off of the website.
 
Wow, nearly three years later and this company is still scamming people. How does this happen? :dontknow:

This thread was started nearly four years ago and Black Widow Accessories is still up to their old shenanigans.

I ordered a Rivco expanding luggage rack from them for my RT. Why? Because they had if for a great price, about $20 less than anyone else. I never thought to check here for comments about them. They sent me a luggage rack in about 2 weeks or so, but it was the wrong one. They sent me a Show Chrome rack which has a list price about $40 or so less than the Rivco. Three phone calls and a couple of emails later I'm still waiting for shipping confirmation and a tracking number. I've been told three times it was shipped and I would get the tracking # by email the next day and a pickup order would also come for Fedex to pick up the Show Chrome one. Hasn't happened yet. I'll be calling my CC company in a couple of days and ask for a charge back. That will either get action, or get me a no cost Show Chrome rack!

I think Black Widow is nothing more than an order processing operation run out of a home. If you look up their street address on Google maps and go to the satellite view the area is all residential. There are no Street View pictures of the residential side streets in that area. The shipping label on the box I received was all hand written which is not what you usually see from a reliable shipper. In my phone conversation with the owner he indicated the Rivco rack was coming from a third party shipper.

So, as was stated earlier in this thread, stay away from Black Widow Accessories. They also operate under the name Wing Dreams, LLC.

Yeah. Can you believe it?

After I sent him a strongly worded email last night he is now saying he will cancel the order, refund my money, and I can keep the Show Chrome rack. Only problem is he said he would refund via Paypal on May 12. Today is May 9 and I paid directly with Amex card, not Paypal. Looks like I'll have a Show Chrome rack for sale soon on the 4 Sale subforum. That will more than offset the higher cost of buying a Rivco rack from whoever.

I sent two emails, one to [email protected] and one to [email protected]. The one to sales was rejected as undeliverable with the message "Recipient address rejected: User unknown in virtual mailbox table" whatever that means. The techsupport one went through.

This is good information for those of us who are new to the Spyder. Just a little story..... a few years ago I needed a hard top for my can-am commander. I found one on line that I liked and ordered it but did not pay extra for faster shipping. The top got to me the next day!!!
What the heck!?? Then I looked at the company and it was located about 4 miles from where I live. I could have picked it up and saved ALL the shipping charges. Moral of the story; Don't be stupid and order stuff on line from unknown people (especially during cocktail hour)
 
Thanks for the heads up. I don't order much for my scoot but will never order from these folks. Like Bob said, they could make a fortune by taking care of business.
