• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

BBs in the Handlebars

I am glad the BBs work for people who have tried them. I know that had I not had them for our trip, it would have been really painful. My hands got tired, but never any pain.

What about just melting some lead & put it in the bars? Might work in the MN bar risers.

About 3/4 of the length of the NMN bars are solid. He only had the ends machined out to accommodate those with Throttlemeisters.

I filled my NMN risers with BBs a while back and I can't tell if it made any difference, but I really wasn't having any problems before anyway. I think it's probably more useful to those who do not have the NMN risers.

It takes about 3,000 to fill the bars. Pack of 4,000 cost $5 at Walmart and used about 3/4 of them. Dudley used two packs of 1,500 so our results are the same. Just remove one end plug, turn the bars to full lock, pour them in until they run all the way through the bar and start to back up. Replace the plug, turn the bars full lock the other way and do the same. You may have to do this twice to get the bars full. Check when they start to reach the end so you leave enough room to get the plug back in. No rattle at all.

When you guys are putting the BBs in are you putting a stop in the bars first to keep the BBs from pouring into the steering console?:dontknow:

The handlebars are one tube that's bent to shape. The only openings are at each end and a tiny slot or two cut to hold the controls in place. Those slots need to be blocked off so the BBs don't work their way into the controls but that's it.
