• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

battery

Out

I would recommend taking it out since you can't keep it on a charger. Low current draw and the cold will ruin the battery quick without a charger.

Is it advisable to store spyder in winter without battery?

There is no power in storage unit

I wouldn't worry about it. I bought my '10 RTs in March of '10 and traded it off in March of '14. It had never been on a charger or maintainer in that time period and was working when I traded it off. JME

Your thinking about storing your spyder in the winter NOW!!!!! :roflblack::roflblack:

:agree: This DOES seem like the time of year, when this argument is rendered moot. :dontknow:

Putting the battery on a maintainer is probably much better...

...Regardless of if it's still in the bike, or not!

Apart from thinking about this during the summer, I would remove the battery and bring it in where you can use a battery tender to keep it well charged. Yes it might be fine without the tender but you will be keeping the battery in tip-top condition for a longer battery life.
