• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

OK Had the bike on battery tender for a few days now. Green light came on the tender so it was charging. Went to start it today & couldn't get it started it would crank but it wouldn't catch. so then I put it on a 5 amp mc battery charger didn't take long for green light to come on & stay on but still wouldn't start! Any one have any ideas! It's now on trailer ready to go to shop tomorrow 1st thing! Hubby had to push/winch it up on trailer not a happy camper! It's a question?? I ride 2012 RT .

Check rule # 1 in posting in asking help or question.

Rule # 1 is What is your ride?

Likely flooded. Just before cranking the engine twist the throttle to wide open and hold it there. Crank the engine, if it starts let go of the throttle or continue to crank for 20 seconds. Stop and let the starter cool for a minute or more. Crank again with wide open throttle (WOT). Let starter cool. Then try starting the normal way. This may have to be done several times.

.........:agree: with your question on this ..............................However., COZ may accuse of " bodyslamming " the person who asked ..........He does that.............Mike

Shoppersal, your issue isn't the battery or tender. If the light was solid green the battery was charged.
You've got something else going on.

:agree: It had lots of "Juice"...
I would think that the "fuel", just needs to get sorted out a bit. :(

On my '10 same issue...had green light on charger....bottom line needed new battery. Let us know what you find out...

If is turning over, how fast, about like normal or a lot slower than normal? Also, check the battery connections to be sure they are tight. Good luck with it :)

Battery tender

I had a 2011 RT-S with a battery tender hooked up to charge the battery. My tender looked like it was charging the battery. Went to start the Spyder and no go. Checked the tender with a multiage and was putting out correct voltage. Took to the dealer and he plugged in to wall and looked okay. Long story short, it was the tender. Bought a new one and still working to this day. Good luck.:clap:

Could be bad gas. It don't take long for the gas these days to go bad. If it is turning over but not starting, i would say it's a gas/ fuel pump issue.:dontknow:
