• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Battery Tender

To get the panel off to access the battery I have to remove the givi saddle bag assembly. I can get everything off but the riser extensions for the turning signals. I looked up under the rear splash guard and I see to bolts. Not sure if these are the bolts to take out?
Anyone know what I am talking about?

Thanks...

I just had pigtails put on mine just about a week ago at the dealer when I took it in to have some basic servicing done (and the new "oil" panel put on).

I am going to ask how he did it. Surely he would have known not to try the terminals...:yikes: You would think he would know what a hassle that could be.

I'll find out though when I ask...
If he decided to hook to the jumper terminals, and was able to tighten the negative jumper, you should have no problems. It is just a pitfall for an unsuspecting owner that thinks it is the easy way out. It doesn't hurt anything to use them, it is just much more difficult than it looks.

What ampage or voltage for the tender do you get for your spyders battery?

I use a Battery Tender Junior it work for me. It's on charge when my 2011 Spyder RS-S SE5 at home in the shop or in storage. I have been doing this the day I bought it new.

Just finished installing the Givi bags on daughter's boyfriends bike. The two bolts you see are the ones you must remove to get the bracket out. Remember to also disconnect the two wires that make the connection to the turn signals. We discussed the amount of work necessary to just get to the battery. Good luck, take it slow and you should not have any problems.
