I am wanting to install a battery tender on my 08 gs/rs but I have a few questions. First can it be connected to the battery connectors under the seat or does it need to be connected directly to the battery? If it needs to be connected to the battery, how in the heck do you get to it? I looks as if you have to pull the seat and most of the body panels. Also how would be the best way to run the wire, to keep it from being damaged but yet easily accessible?

There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Battery is easy. It's under the left rear side panel. You have to remove all the screws under the rear panel (horseshoe pattern- this panel is right above the rear tire. Battery is right there. I would go directly to the battery posts and leave the tag end of the battery tender sticking out near those jumper terminals.

Make sure that your wires are safely tucked up and out of the way. One of our members in here had a short occur when they got pinched. :shocked:

Don't go to the jumper terminal under the seat. If you try to loosen the negative post you will have nothing but trouble! You will end up having to take off the right side panels, find or make an odd wrench to fit, and invent a few new cuss words. Go to the battery. The body panel instructions should be in your manual. The procedure is slightly different between the different models. As to the pigtail, there are plenty of places to run it through the under-seat panel. Just be sure to find a way to secure it...both to prevent it falling back down into the bowels of the beast, and to keep it from being crushed under the seat, possibly causing a short. While there are recesses under the seat, there are also some tight spots. You want it laying in the right place.

RSS Battery charging options in frunk.
I agree to the battery method but my install was a little different i baught a watter proof cigarette female outlet and mounted it in the frunk and ran the wires to the unswitched fuse wire located at the back of the frunk latch.
This gives me easy access to charging the battery without having a pigtail under the seat also the fuse box has both wire harnesses for switched and un switched. I have both in the frunk for key on or key off to charge the battery.
