Got back from a one hour ride.......plugged Spyder into my battery tender as usual....went back into the garage a few hours later and uh oh......battery tender was still on charge mode:yikes:!!!My Spyder is one year old, 5000 miles and battery tender always roles from charge mode to standby in less than 5 minutes so I knew something is wacky.Pulled LH panels and discovered battery acid had leaked on to lip of rear panel and really pitted a 4 inch area.Pulled battery and cleaned some corrosion from positive terminal.Put battery on bench and connected battery tender up with squeeze clamp connectors and with in 10 minutes it rolled from charge to stand by.I know some members have replaced OEM stock battery.....Will see if BRP will replace my damaged panel.....I am also going to replace the battery tender harness that is hooked up to my battery terminals and maybe just get a new battery as well.
