• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

After retiring from playing, Bill lived in the Seattle area. I lived on a golf course at Twin Lakes in Federal Way, WA. Bill often played that course and I saw him many times "in my backyard". He was a real gentleman. Always had a smile and a kind word. RIP

Chamberlain was massive, the first 7' basketball player in the NBA standing at 7'1". He set all kinds of records in his time because nobody could stop him...... except one player "Bill Russell" standing in at 6' 10" he literally manhandled the giant. He wore him down and by the end of the game Chamberlain couldn't wait to get off the court. In my youth I had the pleasure of watching many match-ups between these two. I was born less than a mile from the Boston Garden in the North End. This was the first real sports rivalry I can remember a Boston sports team having. Back in the "50's" there really wasn't a Red Sox/Yankees rivalry. It was Russell vs Chamberlain. God rest your soul Bill Russell and Thanks for the memories.

Great Player
