I've decided to add the rear speakers - the passenger controller is in place, is the required wiring there too? Does anyone know if the 14s use the same (Polk) speakers and the earlier RTs?

There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My 2013 Base RT came with rear speakers are you saying they deleted them on the 2014? Have you checked the balance/fade in the mode menu? The passenger controller has nothing to do with the speakers it is for CB and/or plugged headset music tap. It never did anything for the rear except let the passenger change stations.

I haven't checked to see if they are actually there - I have tried the fader, but no sound from the rear....

The 2014 Brochure does show the RT is equipped with 4 speakers...
Perhaps your dealer should be lookng for a loose connection? :dontknow:

Yes the speakers ARE there, however, there was an unplugged connector - works fine now!

I thought that would be it :thumbup: Don't forget the passenger controls do nothing with the rear volume, why is a good question. It should be set up to lower the volume on the rear speakers or at least change the fader from rear to front. My wife was very disappointed when she had no control over "her" speakers and I when she kept changing my radio station. :dontknow:
