• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Barffed out my oil

A little math

At something like about 8 ft-lbs, I betcha I could still hamfist the threads on the SE5 cover with that.

Lets see 8 lbs force on a 1 ft lever would be same as 24 lbs on a 4 in lever, but your hand would spread the force out so it would be closer to 26-28 lbs force. I guess I agree with a lot of effort it still could be over torqued.

Did It Right This Time:pray:

So the remaining stud came out with vice grips with little effort and clean. New bolts were torqued to 11N, felt kind weird like it wasnt enough but I resisted that final 1/8th of a turn. Ran it around the block ab few times and all seems good, except it needs a good degreasing. Thank you to everyone for your help and advice.

Below is the "good" bolt. Notice the stretch. Proper torque from now on.:banghead:

You are VERY fortunate. Glad it worked out as well as it did for you.
