• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My spyder is really noisy on bumps. I really hate that when I go over bumps quite often the rear wheel goes Bang. Can I reduce Tire pressure you think?

the tier pressure should be around 30 in the rear. I am not sure weather that will help or not. Can you tell where the noise is coming from? that does not sound normal.

Where is your back shock spring tension set? It could be too soft, should be set at least in the middle range, mine is at the highest range. 18 to 20 psi in front tires, 26 to 30 in the back. Might check the bushings in the shocks, some of them wore out quick.

If the shock in question is on a RT, I would guess that it is TOPPING out not bottoming out. The shock is in a word BAD and need to be replaced under warranty. BRP is aware of this problem, I had the exact same symptoms and the rear shock was totally worn out at the top.
Ask your dealer to check it for you.

that is very interesting. I am not under warrenty any more. I am Very interested in finding out how to check for this. it sounds like a possibility. it seems tied more to how sudden the impact is not necessarily how deep or big is guess. I would love to hear from someone who knows what I sould look for

Sounds like it's something new you are experiencing or has it always ben around? I see you have aftermarket luggage, I have seen various components of those assemblies start to get work hardened and fail. A simple tack weld here or there, lost rubber dampners, missing hardware...
The luggage looks secure, but slaps or claps when there's a bump.

We really need more info... The shock could be bad allowing things to extend out (topping out) or fully compress (bottoming) due to shock valving not doing its things. (The damping has crapped out...) :yikes:
Or it could bottom out if the spring is busted...
It sure sounds like a trip up on a lift at least... at worst a trip to the dealer. :gaah:
Can you explain a bit more clearly what it is doing and what it feels like? It may help us "armchair quarterbacks" at least point you in the right direction!

Are you accelerating when you hit the bump? If so it could be your traction control kicking in.:dontknow:

Duh... after checking tire pressure.... 45psi in all 3.. I am betting the Honda dealership where I bought this bike used filled them up to motorcycle levels.

now 17.5 in frong 29 in back

Why didn't I just check this months ago
