• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Balancing

Have any of you used Dynabeads? I use them on the 2 wheeler and wonder if anyone runs them on their Spyder?

Running dynabeads in the general altimax on rear of RT for 7K now. front general altimax were balance by walmart when they installed onto rims. Rolls smoother down the road now than with weights and ride on in old tires

Just remember, if you have ride on in your tire, most tire dealers will not work on that tire because of the slime from the tire gets on their equipment

Yep! And I have to believe that they take a few more miles to become balanced when riding in the cold???

Ride-On is not like Slime. I have never had a shop balk at working on a Ride-On tire. Slime is a gooey mess, but Ride-On behaves quite well.

When I went from stock rims to chrome I bought yokohamas for the front at discount tires I had them spin the tires just to check for irregularities in either the tire and or rim, took them home let the air out put in rideon they balanced out within 20mi on the freeway it was scary at first but I was able to let go of the steering wheel they ran smooth and straight. Now after several thousand miles still having no problems. I.m.o. rideon is worth it balance plus puncture protection.

Well thanks everyone it appears that Walmart was the answer!, The wheels and tires are balanced properly. Now to decide what to do with the 40 dollars of ride on that's headed my way. Haha.

I use ride-on in my tires and have not had a problem with balance or a shop working on tire replacement. I just make sure they know before they start work. While it will not protect you from a side wall puncture, it does protect the tread area very good.

I have been using dyna beads for years in large bus tires, worked great. I was having a lot of tire bounce and shimying on the spyder so removed all the factory weights, 16 on one wheel alone, and added tire beads. The wheels settled right down and no more problems. When I installed my new rear tire last year I added Ride-on mainly for the puncture idea. 2012 RT Limited.

I am glad you got the tires balanced properly, I was in the tire & wheel business for 30 years
in Concord & Antioch, Ca. and I can tell you ... do not put any liquid into your tires unless you are
driving a tractor and using it for balast. the goop in your tires is always moving around and it also
makes it very hard to repair a tire from the inside. always find a shop that has a dynamic wheel balancer
you will not be sorry.

Glad the Walmart balancing worked out for you. I know it worked for me with no problems.
