I've been fairly disappointed in my ST-S handling since day one.
Now, I'm picky. I know this. So I have to warn people when I say the ST-S disappointed me.
Put on the BRP RSS kit (fox shocks and brp upgraded sway bar) to start. Adjust-ability is nice, bar sucks. I think it was made for the 200 lb lighter RSS and they just slapped a ST compatible sticker on it.
Still not what I wanted. Wanders a bit at highway+ speeds, never really feels planted in corners, turn-ins are vague and rapid changes in direction result in body roll followed by a double bounce.
Yuck.
I knew it was good tho... If you corner HARD and the suspension reaches it's limits, it just grabs and goes. I thought, that's odd... it should lose traction at this point not rail around the corner. Why is it so vague at higher speeds?
Insufficient sway bar. ISB I'll call it from now on.
Enter ... the RonBar ST-S edition.
In a word: perfect.
Gone is the double bounce. Gone is the vague turn-in. No more wandering feeling on the highway. As a bonus, steering effort seems reduced and the nanny is on a morphine drip quietly taking a nap while I corner way too quickly.
All better. I'm good.
Thanks again Ron, you've done it again
