• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Bajaron Sway bar

Just received my new sway bar from Ron and installed it. Just to let you all know that the install was easy with good instructions from Ron. My 2011 RTS noticed the difference at its first right hand 90 degree turn. What a difference. Big bang for the buck!! It all started off wiith a click from the front end of the Spyder while returning from Spyderfest. Ron expanined that the top bolts come loose on the Tie link Heim joint on the A arm. He was right. I decided to go the extra with a new bar from his store. Heading out to the Smokey Mts. in June. Will make the turns feel stable. Should hit 20,000 miles this year. Need to leave the rain and go for the Sun. Bob

:agree: I had the dreaded click also. Spyderpop (Harvey) diagnosed mine when he installed my sway bar and bumpskid while I was at SF '13.

Rattigan_Roger found and fixed the source of my "click" at SpyderFest... :2thumbs:
And I know that you're gonna love that bar!

Glad you started this thread, I've been meaning to do the same thing but kept procrastinating. Here is what I found:

Straight and level, normal around town speeds - don't notice the bar at all. Just the way it should be.

Turns around town, about 35-45 MPH- marked difference. Feels similar to a well sprung two wheel bike. Even better when you lean into the turn.

Turns entering Interstate - huge difference!! You can actually push the Spyder thru the turn. This feature alone makes the price worthwhile.

Straight and level, 73 MPH on Interstate - remarkable!! Very steady, no twitchiness or drift. I truly can't believe the difference. If this didn't work, I was going to trade the Spyder for a Gold Wing. This thing is so stable you can take your hands off the handle bars (not recommended at any speed; just had to do it.)

This thing is something else. When you buy aftermarket equipment, you're lucky if it does half of what it promises. This sway bar exceeds my expectations. Can Am ought to include this on all Spyders.:):doorag:

This list says it all. I agree 100% and have only had it on one day. Huuuuuuuuge improvement.

Thank you to everyone for all the great support. I'm worried that I'm going to need to tune up my skills for riding with all the Bar owners at the Owner's Event in June! Last year I was able to pass everyone because no one had the bar. This year I'm going to be lucky to keep up!~

(Just kidding, of course. There have always been some impressive riders out there, with or without the Bar)

One tip though, whether you have the RonBar or not, check the upper Heim Joint LinK to A-Arm connection. Some are finding these loose. Not so much a hazard because there is little chance they will come all the way off. But it gives the connection room to move and it can create wear, which you don't want.

Once they are good and snug you should have no more issues.

See you in June! Bring your BBQ Bib! You'll need it!

This should be on the "Best Sellers List". I couldn't agree more. Great work Ron. :firstplace:

Yep, the BajaRon bar was the most cost effective modification I had made. It made a new machine for me and after the install my wife liked to ride with me (before she would not ride the Spyder).
