• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Baha Ron Sway Bar

BajaRon's anti-sway bar takes the wallowing and leaning of the Spyder body in curves out of the picture. The Spyder stays upright through the the curves without that feeling that the Spyder is going to tip over.

The centrifugal forces going through the curves are still going to be there. Just not as wild as with the OEM ant-sway bar. You'll be able to change your body language with the new bar. Me, I don't have to hang ham anymore with BajaRon's swaybar, but I do anyway 'cause it's fun...

You are one of a kind Yazz! but then that's not news. 'Hanging Ham'!? I'm not touching that one! :yikes:

It's funny how everyone has a different way of trying to explain the same thing. Many of you do a better job of it than I do. But most people just have trouble grasping the mental picture. Then they ride the bar and everything changes. Then they begin trying to explain it to the next person and it starts all over again. It's fun to watch!

So, where and how do you go about ordering these Heim Joints. I didn't see them on his Ebay store or here on spyderlover's?

Biggdogg

I don't list the Heim Joint Links on eBay because I've had trouble keeping up with demand. They are pretty much pre-sold out before I can get a batch made. I am assembling another 25 sets today and I've got a few sets that are not yet sold.

so after u installed ur baja bar and links do u still have to lean into curves like normal or does the baja bar take out all the leaning..ive heard nothing but greatness out of the bar..what does the links do...
chuck

The link kit will not change anything. They are simply a stronger, Chrome Moly Steel replacement for the sometimes problematic composite plastic OEM units.

Ron,
I'm glad that you stopped in... ;)
I think that I've got a questio for your regarding the end link installation...
On my 2010 RT; how critical is it that the bolts, nuts, washers, and spacers all go in the exact spot that you specified? :opps:

BajaRon Sway Bar

I received my sway bar earlier this week, got it installed, and took it out for a ride this morning. I can tell you that it made a big difference in handling. Going through the curves was much easier, I didn't feel like I had to shift my weight around at all. Even when pushing hard through a right turn, it felt much more stable and that put a big smile on my face! The price of the sway bar is worth every penny.

:agree: I noticed the biggest difference when transitioning through sections of off-camber roadway... The bike used to flop down into it, heel over, and try to take me to the outside edge...
Now; it just drops in, and blasts on through with no change in direction!

The Nut/Bolt orientation is not critical. I simply recommend what BRP recommends in case they know something I don't. But the Cone Washer/Spacer orientation is important (though I wouldn't necessarily call it critical). I strived to give the most clearance while at the same time provide the most articulation possible. If you do not orient the Cone Washers/Spacers as depicted in the instructions for your model Spyder, you will get less clearance and less articulation.

If you get contact, that's not good. If you don't, then the position of these components isn't important at all.
