• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

As a new, first time Spyder owner; (2012 RTS-SE5) would like to know how much the sway bar adds to the performance?

You will see a remarkable improvement in cornering once you install the BajaRon sway bar! FAST shipping and EXCELLENT service...Ron sends a detailed "how to" installation instruction sheet along with all the necessary parts to make this a smooth installation!!!

Absolutely the best upgrade you will make as far as improving the handling of your new ryde!

By the way...Welcome to the forum!

I just installed my BajaRon Swaybay along with his Hiem Links last night. My test ride today was fantastic. Turns are no longer a problem. And the ride was not affected at all. 110% satisfied

FARKLES

I have spent way to much on accessories for my 2011 RTS, but without a doubt the best money spent was Baja Ron's sway bar. If you've ever ridden a snowmobile, my RT now rides like a sled on rails. The tighter the turn, the faster I try to go. Night and day difference. I also recommend Inspector Gadgets Luggage rack if you ride 2 up.

So, where and how do you go about ordering these Heim Joints. I didn't see them on his Ebay store or here on spyderlover's?

Just remember don't order Sat - Monday if you wont be able till install till the weekend or the bar will drive you nuts staring at you all week saying install me call in sick and put me on or you don't need sleep just put me on and ride. If you do be sure to ask Ron if he will ship via China route so you wont get it till the day before install..

I wish I where 1/2 the man some of you think I am... But I appreciate all the kind words.

To order, it's best to email me at [email protected] but a PM works also. It's just easier for me to keep track of you with email because there is no 'Search' function for PM's.

I have the BRP updated Heim Joints, Should I purchase to metal joints or does the ones from BRP able to handle the stress of the new swaybar? Also what the whole package cost for the bar and joint? Thanks...

The OEM composite plastic Heim Joint Links (which BRP calls Tie Rods for some unknown reason) have done well up until this year. They are subject to road debris damage and they are a wear part, but these have not been much of a problem.

If you have a 2013 Spyder you need to look at (or have your links looked at) to determine if they are from the defective batch installed on many 2013 models.

The Chrome Moly Link Kits are $65.00

BajaRon's anti-sway bar takes the wallowing and leaning of the Spyder body in curves out of the picture. The Spyder stays upright through the the curves without that feeling that the Spyder is going to tip over.

The centrifugal forces going through the curves are still going to be there. Just not as wild as with the OEM ant-sway bar. You'll be able to change your body language with the new bar. Me, I don't have to hang ham anymore with BajaRon's swaybar, but I do anyway 'cause it's fun...
