• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

1330cc Bag to strap on passenger seat

When riding in spring and fall, I need a little extra storage for my heavy gear for the colder days. Does anyone know of a great bag that can be strapped to the passenger seat? With the concave back of the seat it is hard to find a bag that will nestle in. Any ideas?

Anything with a popular brand name is going to cost a lot more ….. I suggest you decide what size / = dimensions, that you think will fit best …. then go on-line like E-bay , plug in the dimensions + waterproof and see what's out there …… good luck …. Mike ….PS :welcome: …. & :congrats:

I'm also looking for a bag but with more emphasis on using it for a driver's backrest.

My search is narrowed down to the Kuryakyn Momentum Wanderer and the Saddlemen BR4100 Tactical. If you search around, you can find both available below MSRP.

Both of these are made to fit into the contour of the tour pack.

Keep in mind that unless you have added a fuel door in your seat, the bag must be removed to fuel up. Having a quick release/install is important..... Jim

Lazy Rider Cycle Bag.

Large size fit perfect on my 2013 RT Limited and fits just as good on my current 2017 F3 Limited. Also has built-in driver's backrest. I've had mine for 6+ years and still looks new. Quality product.

If you live in a relatively large metro area there is most likey a military surplus store in the area. They usually have a large selection of backpacks, duffels, rucksacks and such. In the days when I was solo motorcycle touring I picked up a non-frame army surplus backpack that fit the pillion/sissy bar of my bike perfectly. It wasn't as pretty, but it had all the interior room and more convenient outside pockets than my buddies Kuryakyn or T-Bag motorcycle luggage, and it was pennies on the dollar compared to their bags.

Cycle Gear stocks the dry bag we opted for - the Oxford Aqua T-50 Roll Bag. It's well made, completely waterproof, sits across the passenger portion of the saddle and is secured by straps to the passenger grab bars. And, the saddle can be opened to refuel without having to remove the bags. It survived a 2400 mile tour last spring without the slightest problem.
