Bad news..............And then GOOD news!!!!!

The original position that I was up for was filled internally, and I received the call yesterday. Needless to say I was a bit bummed out yesterday. I was doing my usual job search stuff last night and decided to fill out an application for a specialist position with the local Lowe's. I had applied to another position about 2 months ago and never heard anything from them so I was not expecting much. Still bummin today as I was doing honey-do stuff around the house, when the phone rang. It was the store manager from Lowe's and they would like to interview me ASAP. So I am going in for an interview tomorrow at 4:00pm. All that I have read and heard about Lowe's as a company ranks them among one of the best companies in the country to work for, so I am kinda excited. Now I just need to hope that they are as interested as they sound. Gonna keep praying and we will see what happens.

Hope you get it. My daughter works for Lowes in Delaware. They have been very good to her. In 2009 she was involved in an auto accident that very nearly killed her. When she was realeased from the hospital she moved in with us to recuperate. When she was able to get back to work Lowes gave her a position here at the Goldsboro store. She worked there until she was able to move back to Delaware at which time Lowes gave her back her job at the store there. Not many companies will do that. I know several folks here that retired from the AF and now work at Lowes. I'm even thinking of something part time with them once the wife gets tired of me hanging around the house.
