• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

So, after I installed these Fender Accent Trim pieces from BigBikeParts, I looked at the picture on the brochure and found I had placed them upside down :opps::yikes:. Blaming it on After Super Bowl Win Euphoria....(whatever). The thing is the more I look at my foolish mistake, the more I think I like it. So I thought I would take this to my Spyderlovers experts and get input. Should I crawl back to BigBikeParts and plead my stupidity to see if there is anything I can do to take these off and redo correctly or leave the way it is??????? :chat:

Just leave it, there was no law passed that it had to be the other way. Looks fine as it is.

what i would do

is with a piece of dental floss ot a heat gun on low or even a hair dryer i would take them off, and get some 3m double sided tape and put them back on the right way

3M tape. Yes? If so, dental floss and WD 40 will help remove them. Then retape and reinstall. If you choose 2.

Who says they're the wrong way around? Is there a wrong way?
Looks OK to me and expresses some individuality....I say leave 'em.

I can imagine another owner looking at these and then comparing them
with his, scratching his head, looking at them again then going home to
change his to be the same as yours!:roflblack:

Are the both the same way? If so, I like it. If not, I will refrain from making any snide political/religious/sexist remarks (teasing).

Yes, even my husband said it would be my own personal little custom piece and I could pick my bike out real easy at a Spyder event:clap:

Talked to my Bro and he likes it.

I dunno... it kinda looks cool but I bet some will notice it.

I would spend the time and redo it myself.

Sorry.... I am anal about stuff ;)
Bob

P.S. use dental floss to get under the sticky tape and saw away. You might be able to lift it and re-stick it without needing new 3M tape.

It is different. I did the similar when I installed my floor boards but I went back and changed. I think I would do the same here.

Let's see..!!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder..in this case you. Sounds like you are liking this unorthodox look. So leave it be and enjoy it you can always change it down the line. Just know you will be questioned and ribbed a lot...
