Backrest on Standard RT Limited Seat

My 2012 RT does not have a backrest. Is it possible to add a backrest
to the standard RT Limited seat?

Yes, Utopia makes a backrest that will fit. It requires you cutting a hole through your seat.

Not as pretty as the Utopia, but I got this on sale from Show Chrome Accessories for $149.00, on sale. I find it very comfortable and installation was easy.

Just be careful on which seat you have. If you have or decide to get the BRP comfort seat which moves the driver back 2" farther than the stock seat, then the Show Chrome backrest wont work on that. Only Utopia makes a backrest for the BRP comfort seat.

You bet you can, pick up the back rest you like Markland, Corbin or other and you can make a support
for the under side of your seat pan that it will slip into it takes some time but it can be done.
I have done several over the years on many bikes I think Ultimate also makes them

I have a Utopia backrest on my 2012 and it is quite good. It took time to install but with patients can be done. The price if im not mistaken was $250.00 or $300.00 with matching material to your presant seat. Just e-mail Utopia prod.inc.

I love mine and you can get the non matched one it has the same stitching pattern just not the 2 different seat materials. I also suggest you get the leather post wrap if you ride 2 up you can see it in the pic. The seat adjusts up and down /forward and back.
