• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

BACKREST - Like Soon

Can't go wrong with the Utopia backrest.
:agree: I love my Utopia backrest. Looks GREAT, fully adjustable, comes with a detachable pouch, and it's less expensive than the BRP one. Only downside... If you have a "comfort seat", it can make the passenger area in the back a bit narrow.

Well, popped for the new BRP Adjustable. IMotorsports helped make the price less painful Now to install - instruction sheet pretty useless!
thanx for all the input Have had Utopias in the past and always good! Judging from photo posted in this thread, that may have been way to go.

:congrats:

There's just four bolts that hold the bracket in place...
Get somebody to hold it for you, and you're good to go!

Good choice on the BRP Backrest, I have one and really like it. Have had utopia also and they were OK also.

Backrest like soon

I did the Show chrome, which I think comes in two sizes(?). I got the small one. I did replace the stock foam with softer foam rubber from an egg crate mattress topper. I cut it to size and folded over the egg sides into each other. I'm 6'0" and this was softer and gave me just a little more room after cutting the lumbar foam out of the stock seat. I also left the pouch off so the wife had more room and she is not big. I screwed and taped snaps onto the dash and snapped it up there for a small pouch to put stuff in for easy access.

New here. Utopia question

I am looking at the various models and it looks like the Utopia might be the easiest install? I need easy as I am not mechanically inclined. :)

Also, does the Utopia bend forward so a passenger can get on easily?

Thanks

UTOPIA

Yes, it bends forward.....plus it has lots more adjustability than any other backrest on the market. Depending on which side of the up-right piece you bolt the backrest to you can move it forward or backward 1/2 ".....and then there is the up / down and variable tilt..........and if you want more LUMBAR support just tape a thin piece of wood (?) at the base of the up-right so the bottom of the backrest is pushed forward however much feels comfortable for you................good luck......Mike

Thanks to all!! BTW - 2015 RTS

I went with Corbin seat and backrest. Love it. Just finished my first 1000+ mile trip with it. Would not go back to OEM.
