• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Backrest Install Help

Stick

New member
Just got the BRP adjustable backrest and instructions are lame. Can anyone point me to a video or something that could help with install. Input much appreciated!

If you look at the other two threads that you started; the answers are posted in there!
But I'll add this:
If you put you hand on the underside of the seat: it's really easy to feel where the screws go!
Get one end started, and it's all biscuits and gravy after that!

By the way: would you be willing to send me a copy of the instructions. I got my backrest without them, and I'm a bit of a stickler about stuff like that...
Thanks!

Backrest On And Looking Good

Somewhere along the line I had heard that the backrest install was easier with the seat off. Presuming holes had to be drilled in the underside of the seat, that made sense to me. Got that seat off (with some consternation) and imagine my surprise to see holes already properly located, drilled, threaded and all ready for those mounting bolts! Ouch! Oh, well, had some hands on time with the bike and now know all about pulling that seat off.
Thanks, guys!
