• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My RT Limited is headed back to the shop. I had them install brake lights and now my brake lights don't always turn off leading to a dead battery and it is resisting being shifted into neutral. It takes numerous trys before it goes there. I am sure they will fix all that but I want to know how responsive should my power steering be? My quad steers better. Doing rides through the twisties requires several doses of ibuprofen for my right shoulder.:gaah: I ride horses too and saddle them up without any discomfort. I did get a cramp buster hoping that might take some pressure off. If I can't get this part figured out I may have to go to another type trike and I really like all the safety features of my RT not to mention all the storage space.:banghead: Anne

With all the lights in the rear, you felt like you needed brake lights? If doing the twisties hurts your shoulder, don't do the twisties, or do them slower so that it doesn't strain your muscles.

Do you have an SE5 or manual shifter? I have a manual RT and the easiest way to get into N is to first shift up to 2nd from 1st, then just a short downward shift will find N. Trying to find N from 1st is not easy.

Do you use the cramp buster for the highway, or twisties? I use the cruise control for the highway and think that's the best feature of the RT. Much more useful to me than a GPS, radio, CB or intercom.

I am 67 years old, and there are some things I can't do anymore like I used to on "motorcycles" (started riding in 1966). I have just accepted that and don't blame the "motorcycle" for my inabilities. I suggest that you just take more time in learning your Spyder to get to appreciate what it can do for you.

sore shoulder

Before you give up on the rt on the twisties ...adjust your front shocks to max.. Willing to bet that getting rid of the lean and not having to twist and shift your body on curves will make a difference on shoulder soreness. Sure did for me and it rides a lot better.

I normally drive a pick up so I noticed that since I sit higher my view is too so I figured having another set of lights higher would be helpful in the land of pick ups and suvs. I have a manual RT and love that feature. My shocks are at 4 so I will have them adjusted to 5. I do use cruise on highway and that helps for sure. Thanks for the suggestions. I will try them. I really want to keep my baby!

I agree with Dudley about finding neutral. Much easier from 2nd to neutral than from 1st. Another trick that usually makes it easier is to shift to neutral while you are still moving a little. I also find that my RT is much easier to shift into neutral after it's warm than when it's cold. It can be a real bear to find neutral when it's cold.

And I also agree with using the cruise control. I love it. It's the first real cruise control I've ever had on a bike and it makes longer trips much, much easier. No more hand cramps at all.

Soreness through the twisties.

Most definitely try cranking up the front coil springs!!! The difference is Clydesdale vs. Cutting horse. My need for ibuprofen disappeared. I ride full tightness and no longer need to counterbalance nearly as much.
