• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Back Rest

I would say it depends. I just put one on my ultimate tall boy seat and I am not completely sold on it. Others I have read in threads are... My concern is that it seems to hit me in a spot in my back that is too low. I am still on the fence myself on whether to keep it or return it in the next 7 days as they offer a 14 day try before you buy. I am finding this backrest is too small and short for me.
I have ordered the Utopia backrest and a tall mount bar from Ultimate but it won't arrive until after my trial is over so I am still not sure whether I will keep it or send it back. The Utopia may end up taking away too much room from my wife, so it is a catch 22. :banghead:
Additionally, most say that riding in the correct posture is more important than the backrest. Meaning that you should be sitting up straight and supported by your core and not leaning unless you are stretched out on highway pegs. There are other much more experienced folks that will likely respond on this.

Doe's a back rest on an Ultimate seat improve the ride/comfort. I get pretty tired after a 140 mile ride...
i have an Ultimate tall boy with back rest and love it. Angle on back rest is adjustable. Can now ride for hours with no back pain, not so with BRP comfort seat, 60 minutes max and back pain.

First long ride was from Phoenix to Colorado Springs stock seat without a back rest. Next added Utopia back reset and Airhawk R seat cushion. For me the backrest was great but the stock seat with the Airhawk R still wasn't right for me. Got the tall boy Ultimate complete set up with passenger armrests at this years Spyderfest and absolutely love it! I would not go back to not having a drivers backrest.

Extended Test Ride... Due to the circumstance, if you are getting the parts you need in a reasonable time frame (1-2 weeks), please call customer service at 877-672-0288 and we'll make a note to extend your test ride period to make sure you can get a fair evaluation.

Best regards,
