• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Back Rest

Decided on a backrest for long trips on the '15 RT Limited. The unit pushes me so far forward in the seat, because it hits me so high on the back, that I'm nearly straddling the glove box. Has anyone seen a low backrest for lumbar back support?
Presently have cut the backrest structure down to a height of 5" maximum, which will support the lower back only. Now to have it upholstered .

BRP backrest

:agree:.......I sampled the OEM RT backrest and was very dis-appointed ( especially for the price )......I went with a Utopia.....  ....couldn't be happier ........Mike , also saved $ 400

I feel the same way. BRP really missed the mark by not making the factory back rest adjustable forward/backward. Currently saving up for an Ultimate Tall Boy seat with their adjustable backrest.

When I bought my RT at the end of the 2013 riding season, I was going to get the 2014 comfort seat and backrest for it, but they didn't make them in the tan color. So I also went with Utopia. I too love it. It has four separate height adjustments and continuous fore/aft adjustment with a thumb screw that can be adjusted while sitting in the seat.

Different strokes for different folks. I found the Utopia backrest useless, it only got in my way but I love my BRP backrest.

I had the OEM product. Still working on the mod. If it doesn't work out, I'll look for alternatives.

It is different strokes for different folks for sure.

I have Utopia and like it because it was reasonable in price (about $250) and it is a bit adjustable.

Also have a Corbin Backrest and Corbin seat combo. Pricy, but I also like that combo.
