Thought I would update my situation after my toe amputation 2 weeks ago. Went to the Dr. today to get the bandages taken off for the first time. Since it was a 50/50 shot that the amputation would work and I wouldnt need further surgery, I was a little nervous but still confident. Immediately after the surgery, my Dr. Was not real hopefull, but I felt good about it. I quit smoking, stayed off Cocaine and laid around the house for two weeks. So he took the bandages off and said it looked very good. Now I am trying to get him to let me go back to work next week. I dont think he is going to go for it, but hopefully after a third week off, he will let me. This doing nothing for two weeks is driving me nuts.
So when I got home today, I hopped on Cocaine and took her for a spin around the neighborbood for ten minutes. Still cant shift gears so it was a first gear little trip. At least she got ridden. Poor thing has been crying everytime I walked past her. Now I cant wait to wind her out to the triple digits and have some fun. Hopefully in a week or so.
Thanks to everyone for your thoughts and prayers. Looks like it helped.
