• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Back in the saddle again. Sort of!

Thought I would update my situation after my toe amputation 2 weeks ago. Went to the Dr. today to get the bandages taken off for the first time. Since it was a 50/50 shot that the amputation would work and I wouldnt need further surgery, I was a little nervous but still confident. Immediately after the surgery, my Dr. Was not real hopefull, but I felt good about it. I quit smoking, stayed off Cocaine and laid around the house for two weeks. So he took the bandages off and said it looked very good. Now I am trying to get him to let me go back to work next week. I dont think he is going to go for it, but hopefully after a third week off, he will let me. This doing nothing for two weeks is driving me nuts.

So when I got home today, I hopped on Cocaine and took her for a spin around the neighborbood for ten minutes. Still cant shift gears so it was a first gear little trip. At least she got ridden. Poor thing has been crying everytime I walked past her. Now I cant wait to wind her out to the triple digits and have some fun. Hopefully in a week or so.

Thanks to everyone for your thoughts and prayers. Looks like it helped.

MEDICAL ISSUES

Glad to hear ...so far - good , if worse comes to worse ..... The SE is not a BAD alternative ./...... Mike

Really dont want to go the SE route. I just love riding the twisties when the throttle, clutch and gear shifter are working perfectly together. At least now it doesnt look like I have to worry about it.

I know what you mean about laying around and wanting to get back to work. I was out for three months this fall due to heart surgery. I couldn't wait to get back on the job. When I got back, the first thing I noticed was I looked forward to the weekend so I could go ride!!!

:chat:
I did a heel-"toe shifter on my Harley Softail Custom. My new Harley has a heel-toe shifter. I loved shifting that way and I missed it. Went back to Harley to get the shift.

I have been thinking about installing one of these. Most people say that once you use it you will wonder why you havent always used one.

Good to Hear.....

Not a problem with cocaine...get a heel toe shifter and convert it to a heel heel shifter..:roflblack::roflblack: it's that easy..just shift with your heel....

I just ordered a heel toe shifter from site sponsor Value Accessories. Hopefully the install wont be too bad and I can be riding sooner.

:congrats:
Installation of these is about as easy as changing your brake pedal pad.
Due to my Diabetic Neuropathy; I've lost all strength in my ankles. (I couldn't upshift anymore...)
Three bikes with heel-toe shifters kept me in the game!
