• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Back in the saddle after 51 years

I had a BSA cycle while stationed in Berlin. The German friends that I cycled with started calling me Seaweed (somehow they derived that from my name Secord) . The BSA had a fin on the front fender as British machines had back then, so I put the name Seaweed on that fin. So I figured I would use the nickname again with my Spyder:spyder2:. Shortly after being transferred to Nebraska I sold the cycle.

I bought my 2015 RT-S SE in Cheyenne Wyoming in September and have put about 1300 miles on it so far. We have had a little snow here so far but there are days in this area where the weather is still nice enough for short rydes. I hopefully get in a few more miles this winter.

Welcome!

My first bike was a 1968 BSA Thunderbolt 650... put my feet and hands to sleep at times but was a wonderful ride!

Went through several+ street bikes, then 3 Goldwings ('75, '80, '86) and now have a '12 RT-S

Enjoy the forum, there is a lot of info here.

Small world... my very first bike was a BSA 165cc. If I recall correctly it was sort of an Olive Drab and Creme color. That was a bunch of years ago... ;)

:congrats: on your new ryde. Hope you get a few more nice days to ryde before the snow and cold weather makes you shut it down. I'm hoping the same thing in this part of the country too. :doorag:

I had several english bikes when they were popular. Loved them all. Welcome!!:yes::yes::yes:
