• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Back from the ride!

So, my wife and I just got back from a club wedding in Tennessee. I rode my Harley Road Glide and she rode her Ryker. 1980 miles round trip..in 4 days. She did great.

That Ryker was flawless on the trip. The floorboards, sway bar end links, throttle rocker, trunk, windshield, aftermarket mirrors and sound system all were well worth the cost and labor to make her Ryker a touring machine.

Some places, she got it up to 90 and the thing held the road like a champ. Through the blue ridge parkway and mountains, it was perfect. In the torrential downpour and thunder storms, it did great. No complaints from either of us.

Anyone who says you can't tour with a Ryker is sadly mistaken and is missing out on the fun of going for a long ride!

Spygoat: Glad your wife's machine did so well. Last Sunday I did my longest ride to date on my 2021 900 Rally 4 hours (244 miles) round trip to Okeechobee FL around both sides of the lake and back down to Hollywood, via US-27. Thru (2) torrential thunderstorms and 90+ temperatures! The machine ran perfect. Had (3) gas stops as I don't let it get below half tank and got 30 MPG. I hit speeds of up to 90 MPH at some of the best straightaways (US 27 is a lonely country road in this stretch, with no issues what so ever. I hope it continues like this and I say that some "stage" touring could be done with the Ryker. For now it is definitely a great "day ride" machine.

My compliments to your Wife, She is a real trooper :thumbup:...... Mike :ohyea:

Spygoat. Glad the trip went so well. I notice that you said your wife's ryker has a sound system. Can you tell me what kind of system it is?

Good to know! I am making some of the same modes for my new Ryker Rally, my hope is to get my neighbor to go with some friends this winter when we go to Florida. We want to take a trip from PCB to the keys and back. The luggage thing has got me perplexed though, what bag do you have there? I am thinking of coming up with something myself as it seems a bit steep to pay the $200+ for something as small as the offerings from BRP.

Texas Al - The sound system is a Rockville Rock-N-Ride. https://www.rockvilleaudio.com/rocknride-audio/ $80, it sounds great and can be heard at and above highway speeds.

Kilroy - The trunk is a Comie motorcycle trunk off Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Comie-Motorcycle-Scooter-Luggage-backrest/dp/B07GZLBPNM . It cost me $70. I had to drill 2 holes in the MaxMount (did not affect anything) to secure the mounting pad for the trunk. That took me all of 6 minutes to do. it matches the Ryker's finish very well. It can fit two full face helmets, that's how big it is. It also locks and is removeable. It has a handle that you can use to carry it like a suitcase when it is off the Ryker.
