• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How about a thread for all of us to let everyone know we made it home safe....

Someguy and I made it back To Michigan just fine.

Also heard from Tina (8 legs) and she is safe and (somewhat) sound....:D

Who else????

Made it home after running into a couple of big storms that dumped alot of rain.Just cleaning up my spyder to put her to bed for the night.:2thumbs:

Oh-- and I can also confirm that the Michigan State Police use Laser guns to check your speed------(Cheetah27 system worked great-----:D)

We left the hotel about 7:30 this morning with a little bit of rain. Shortly after we hit the 94 for the 294 the rain had stopped. We had dark cloud and overcast skies all the way home but didn't get wet until about 15 miles from home, go figure. We also passed another Spyder headed east on I-69 with Quebec plates. Hope he had fun at the event and got home safely. I do believe he pulled over at a rest area when the rain started to come down hard.

Made it home, as well, in one dry piece. 8legs and I did run into a h*** of a thunderstorm right after we left superfly3 in Merrillville. Lightning scared the H*** of me but it didn't last very long and soon dried out. I had a great time meeting/seeing all the spyderheads. Look forward to seeing you all again.

Made it home about 7 last night. Safe and sound and hot and sweaty. Really enjoyed reconnecting with old acquaintances and putting faces with some new forum names. I hope everybody makes it home safely!:2thumbs:

Made it home about 11:30 this morning. A little damp when I left the hotel but a dry ride all the way home.

Glad to hear you all had a safe ryde home:thumbup: It was GREAT to see you all
again and meeting some of the other forum members!
Looking forward to Cuba next year.

You weren't kidding when you said you were leaving real early. Glad you had a sage trip home and stayed basically dry. It was great meeting you and I am so glad you contacted us. I hope you got lots of great ideas to make your spyder fit your 6'6" frame better and to make it more comfortable for you both. Also, now that you have a couple hundred miles or so on it :D how do you like you? Are you getting more used to the handling? What mods did you see that you like best and want to change first?

I'm back, had a bit of rain that delayed our group up a bit but was fun to stop and visit yet.. Anyway just checking in with everyone, I'm sure the rest of the group will post as well.. Made it home ok but not dry. Caught 2 big storms that dumped on me and the wife. Had a great time and looking forward to the next gathering whenever and wherever it may be.

Made it home safe and sound and sun tanned to bright red:yikes:. Had a great ryde with the gang! hope all are doing the same, with out the sun burn part! Joe and i did some of that shirtless ryding love!

Kris and I are back too. We met our friends from Lake Villa for breakfast about 9:30 and by the time we left the resturant the roads were dry. We stopped at Cabela's on the way home, and Portillos for supper. Its pretty bad when you leave home with the storage trunk full, then fit the free stuff in there, then jam the stuff we bought at cabelas in there too. No rain for us though-got lucky I guess. We had a great time meeting everybody as well. Looking forward to it again. The only thing worse for the wear is my iphone from all the bonking and bumping.

G-Man & BumbleBee are home too :2thumbs:

JOE!!!
"A BIT OF A RAIN"!!? What you thought was a bit of a rain!

It was a torrential downpour! Rained so hard we couldn't see 5 feet in front of us! We had to pull off to the side of the freeway till we could see well enough to ryde to the rest stop. And in addition to that, the rain was mixed with hail. :yikes: Like being stung by a thousand BumbleBees! Not to mention the stress of possible damage to MY precious spyder!

We left about 1 hour after you and were dry all the way home, except for a couple sprinkles that didn't even get our face shields completely wet. :D

We were soaked all the way threw :(

Len, it was fun and what an adventure it was, several first time experience for me! Except for the heat, which got the better of me :(

Not the least of which was being escorted home by deeply tanned shirtless men. :)
