B.E.S.T. price for extended warranty

Forget Berts mega mall.they don't return phone calls or answer emails.3 attempts I understand the price went up earlier this year and it depends on what model you have.I ended up getting one from my dealer for the price he quoted when I bought my RT Ltd last year.

My parts Dept. said we have the #5 UFIT kit in stock for both the SE6 and SM6;

SE6 part number is 219400571
SM6 part number is 219400565

Let me know which model and where you need it shipped to and I can get you a quote ASAP.

Sierra ... you rock today with customer service ...
I will call back next week to finalize my extended warranty - I just need to read thru all the materials I have and let my credit card cool off and roll over to the next billing cycle *lol*.

Joe, as often as you buy a new Spyder, I'm guessing you never have to worry about a BEST Warranty extension. Right? ;)

HaHa, that is true but i always tell myself this is the last one that i am buying so i better get an extended warranty, then i trade it and someone else gets the warranty free.

I just extended my B.E.S.T warranty until 8/5/ 2019 ( originally it would have expired next year 2017) and I paid $ 771.00 for a 3 year warranty at dealership.

I have a 2014 RTS-SE6. I bought it before my manufactures warranty expired.

So if you buy a used Spyder

As for when to buy it, the rules are that you must buy the warranty before your active warranty expires, and you can only cover it for a total of 5 years between the original warranty and the BEST extension.

If you buy a used Spyder where the warranty has run our you can't purchase another one?

I have a three year warranty back when they were running a promo to add a third year. It expires next July. If I understand the rules correctly, I have until then to purchase an additional warranty but it would only be for two years?

Someone please check my understanding on this.

If your current warranty expires in 2017 .... and you bought a THREE year extension ..... and your New warranty expires in 2019 !!!! ...... :dontknow: :yikes: .....It would appear you paid $ 771.00 for TWO YEARS ( not 3 )...... that's more than anyone else here, so I guess you are :firstplace:.......:roflblack::roflblack::roflblack: ..... Mike

3 year extension to the standard 2 years - $999 with the money back if not used in the 5 years

David from Sierra. He is great to work with and great price. If person is waiting until when their warranty is close to ending is there a possibility BRP will increase the price or change the terms of the warranty between now and then. That's why I didn't wait as I doubt there would be a better deal when my original warranty runs out than what I could buy from Sierra now.

Bert's quoted me $699 last spring for 3 years on my 2014 RTS. Dealer finance person the other day first quoted $870 for 3 years. We talked about alternatives for a few minutes and then I told her I would go $750 for 3 years. She took it. I figured the additional $51 was worth it to promote a good relationship with the dealer.

This is what I got from Burts Mega Mall for my 2015 RT Special Series:

1 Year $521
2 Year $671
3 Year $771

And from Sierra Cycles, even better!

1 year $420
2 year $570
3 year $670

I still have ten months left on my factory warranty so I'll wait until it's close to expiration.

Pam
Pam,

From looking at your quote, I can tell you that Sierra Cycles has given you some prices there that are cut pretty close to the bone , considering the rates you got also include the $70 Contract Fee. Be aware that they may not be able to hold those prices if BEST raises their rates. If you are planning on keeping your RT for a few years yet, you may want to consider jumping on those prices sooner than later. Just a thought .

That is correct, Roger. According to the current rules, you cannot extend beyond five years total. You should buy at least a full month before your current warranty expires so as not to get caught up in the processing time. Also, I don't think BEST raised their rates last season, so they could be due for a rate increase before July. No way to know for sure.

Good morning everyone.

First post here, my wife and I just got a used '13 RT-S SE5 over the weekend. We paid $770 to extend the previous owner's 3-year warranty to 5 years when we purchased it. We were lucky that we picked one that was still under an extended warranty. :)
