I have a 250W amp along with 4 ---3 1/2 speakers mounted on the bars and also a small amp in the trunk that runs 2---6 inch subs mounted in the trunk as well..

I found a really sano set for my old RS (see pics) - but, like many on the forum, I hadn't learned that quiet pipes were bliss - especially when you want to hear your tunes. These were marginal at 70, with a Hindle - just fine at 70 with the stock pipe.

Note the compact amplifier - rated at 150W - all-in-all, and easy afternoon install.

I would have to agree..I use JLAudio in my vehicles exclusively and have never been disappointed. The brand is a bit pricey, but well worth it.

MB-Quart is in a totally different category than JL Audio...MBs are hand-made German speakers...very high end...(unless something changed)...JL Audio are great but not as good. I have MBs in my old convertible but the subwoofer is a JL...also have an xtant amp...very nice!

I am very aware of them both. We actually broke/set the then world record DB level in a van during a competition back in the day. We used MBQuart for the mids/highs and JL Audio for the bass. nojoke

It is all about pure clean power and frequency response levels for the best reproduction with the lowest distortion possible. :2thumbs::doorag::spyder2:

Interesting how you used the MBs for high/mid and the JL for the bass...this is the setup that Tweeter (miss them) used for me...

It's a shame that the speakers in my old car are worth more than the car itself...well, at least it sounds good when the top is down!
