• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hi everyone Dave here with a request,
My wife Julie and I will be in Savanna Georga from September 18th. to September 23rd.
The last time I was there I was 17 years old in the Navy stationed in Charleston at the Ship Yard.

I am now 81 so my memories of the area are 64 years old.... a hell of a lot can change in 64 years
so can any of you who have a little time E-Mail me at [email protected]
I don't think it is right to clutter this forum up with stuff like this unless it's a short note, please feel free to call me anytime
at 209-887-3283 remember I am in California 3 hours difference in time from the east coast.
I remember a little about Fort Sumter, some about Charleston and a little about Savanna.
We have 5 days to play WHAT ARE THE DON'T MISS SEEING THINGS, TO SEE AND DO WHILE THERE ?
Thanks a million everyone for your help
Dave & Julie

I was stationed on a boat in Charleston '75-'79. LOVED Savannah! You won't recognize anything in Charleston anymore. Go to the old "strip gate", and just inside is the Hunley museum. In Savannah, the riverfront is still nice to walk and the squares going through the old part of town have been kept up very well - a nice driving tour.

WOW with all the responses here I am guessing maybe We should Pass on Savanna and Charleston and just go down
to my ole home in KeyWest...Got the same thing on Face Book...

I second for key west as savanna is a disaster although key west is also different with the cruise ships docking there.

We were in Key West last year for a visit with friends I know how it is there.... I was just hoping some locals would
chime in on the Savanna & Charleston....
