• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Just got off the phone with Don at F4 Customs. He asked that I post here to advise everyone to re use the black washers that come off the stock shields. There was some question about whether or not to do this. My self included. So, RE USE the black washers. Don is an awesome guy. Just call. :firstplace: Tom :spyder:

Tom (or Don),
I reused the black washers as recommended.....no issues, but is there really NOTHING that goes between the back of the windshield and the metal posts? I know there isn't for the OEM shield, but the OEM shield is tiny.

Don Frank - Lifesaver of the F4 kind !

.......just been out for my first ride with the 25" F4 on local roads and freeway. What a difference. I still get a little bit of buffeting on the top of my helmet as I am looking over the top by 3", but it allows cool air to reach me, and works an absolute treat for me. No more blurred vision. Thanks to Don, Tom and others for helping sort the right height.

F4 F3 Touring shield

Glad the shield worked out for you. Nothing needs to be in back of the shield it can go right against the steel mounts. It is polycarbonate so it will take the pressure.
