• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

ATGATT.....different question

I wear the same exact gear when I ride a 2-wheeler. A crash is a crash. Cars don't hurt less because you're on a :spyder2:

I wear what I want and nothing that has been said anywhere has made me change my mind. I dress for the temperature for the most part. When it is hot out, I generally am in shorts and a tank top. I know the risks and I am willing to take them.

You can wear what you want, it's your choice. What gets me is when someone sets up a "GoFundMe" page for their medical bills, after their 2nd skin graft, because they made bad choices!!

I think most people really don't understand how dangerous open air vehicles are. Or maybe they don't care, trading safety for convenience and comfort. That is up to each person to decide. But I do think good knowledge is important to make an informed decision. So I post what I have learned.

For me, this is the minimum:

MC specific boots
MC specific leather gloves with palm sliders (I also still ride on two wheels)
MC specific pants. Leather or a tough fabric.
Knee protection, either worn separately or in the pants.
A MC jacket with back, shoulder, chest and arm protection. Fabric or leather.
A full faced helmet. I prefer Snell certified myself.

Has anyone really changed what they wear when riding their Spyder based on what others have said on here? I believe we are all old enough to know what we feel is necessary and comfortable with for our protection when riding. I've personally have made no changes. Actually I have, I've removed the protection pads in one of my jackets, and the pads from my kevlar jeans. I'm just curious.

I'm not saying there is anything wrong with reinforcing to be safe when riding, regarding those pesky cagers, which you are probably one, and the different gear available; but, IMHO, I think there are those that go overboard, again, and again, and again..................................

I guess that's my rant, which I think I'm allowed.
 I have not & WILL not change my gear just from what someone says about theirs, I will review & test to my own preferences thank you very much.:coffee: I will say thanks to the recommendations when some one finds a good product worth mentioning. :firstplace::bowdown: & will, have shared accordingly when I find something myself. Resent discovery is more for winter riding fyi has a strap to help it stay in place like a mitt & will fit inside glove.
http://www.clickheat.eu/The-Products/CategoryID/7/ProductID/28.aspx not the best for flexibility of individual fingers but can grasp the bars ez enough. Some reviews of hunters using & still able to use trigger finger:2thumbs: Thankfully I dont need such gear often down here:p:doorag:
