• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Assembly has started, delivered today

Sam

RT-S PE#0338
Well, I got a call this morning that my RT-S had been delivered this morning. So, had my first cup of coffee and off to the dealership. Yup, there she be, still in the packing crate in the middle of the back parking lot. So I go inside, talk to the service manager, and within a half hour, the crate is now inside, and being unpacked. Assembly is now in progress. I took quite a few photos, and tried to start an album, but my camera was set on high quality, and each shot is about 1.9 meg in size., and I got an error message while trying to upload them. So far, I've got about 30 something photos of it's progress from a yellow crate with something inside, to an assembled RT-S, PE# 0338. I hope the assembly guy wasn't too nervous having me looking over his shoulder while he was working, camera flash going off every few minutes. One of the service guys asked me what kind of cigars I was going to give out after my baby was born.roflmao It should be completed tomorrow, but as luck would have it, snow tomorrow in the forcast. So, no taking it home. I'll update tomorrow, after assembly is finished.
Photos added today. Check my album. Sorry if they're out of order. http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/album.php?u=3352

Well, I was there about 4 hours, and he hadn't finished putting it back together yet. It was about 80% done when I left the dealership. No, I didn't op for the GPS, as I've got a few already that I'll use somehow. The pictures I took yesterday are in my album now. The link is in my original post.

Very nice pictures. Answered quite a few questions for me regarding exactly what was on and off the RT in the crate. Unfortunately, it looks like I will be installing my own heated passenger grips since the bags and rear plastic are not off the bike as it's delivered. I refuse to pay the dealer to install an option that I was given to believe was a factory option. But, since installation would obviously require a considerable amount of time, I can't blame them for wanting to charge me. I'll just install them myself.

Thanks a lot for posting such great pictures.

So did you order the standard, silver RT? That is the only one that comes without the heated passenger grips. Sorry, no factory installed options for BRP, even though their Web page would make you think these features might be factory options instead of dealer installed options. Pretty good instructions come with their accessories, though. That should make it simpler.

Yes, I did order the standard, silver RT. The only option we really wanted was the heated passenger grips and the salesmanat the dealership thought that the RT would come with the heated grips installed. So did I, since it's not really an addition to the bike just a different set of grips and plug them into a standard wiring harness. But, turns out it's a dealer installed option and I'm not going to pay for installation so I'll install them. Glad to hear that their instructions are good. That always makes it easier.

I installed heated driver grips on my BMW and the instructions were written in German. Hope BRP's are not in French. It appears that there are 5 bolts holding each grip on so the worst part will just be getting enough panels removed to get to it.
