Asia Pacific Launch of F3

Hi,
Put a deposit on an F3S in Oct 2014. Australian launch is 12 May and I should get mine around 20 June (mid Winter). I now know how much it will cost me.
Seeing all the fun that everybody is having will make the 9 month wait bearable (just).
I am glad that I have ordered one, as I have not seen a NOT having fun post anywhere on any site.

I maybe should have purchased one of ones in the photo to practice on, Then I could maybe do a comparison?

I hope everyone outside the Asia Pacific continue to enjoy there F3 and keep posting photos for me to admire.

. . . . that riding on of those would prepare you for an F3. :roflblack:

I was perfectly happy with my ST-S and had not even heard about the F3 until 2 weeks before a demo came to town. I think it was about 30 days from hearing about the F3 to when I picked mine up at the dealership.

A 9 month wait sounds like cruel and unusual punishment.

Yep, we in Australia have only just had the chance to even see an F3 - nobody can ride it yet - and half the country haven't even seen it yet! They're taking orders for "June" delivery, hopefully - we're mentally adding at least a month to that timeline. "First in - best dressed"
Winter in Australia - it's a big country ! Put it this way, we don't have to hibernate our Spyders for the winter, but it can get very cold and of course wet.
If the F3 was delivered in June/July, we'd be riding it for sure! just maybe not as far... :yes:

I was lucky enough to see the F3S (mag/black the colour I have ordered) at BRP headquarters in Sydney the day it arrived and play on it with the UFIT system. The very first time I have sat on a running Spyder. I got to rev it up. The best they let me do was put my number plate on it.

June in Sydney NSW Australia is between 50 F and 60 F (10 to 16 C). A lot of bike riders actually like the cooler months as long the rain is not too bad. July it gets a little bit cooler down to 45 F.
Southern parts of Australia are colder (Tasmania is part of Australia and gets colder). Rains a lot in Melbourne -Victoria. June - July In Darwin Northern Territory is around 70 to 90F.
Yep a big country.

Please Do Not get me wrong I have been to some fantastically beautiful places in the USA, Canada, Europe and met some wonderful people also. I would love to be able to ride around and through all those places.

I am not sure if This site has a dedicated spyder plus scenery section where I can enjoy the photos. I liked OJ's white cliff shots and others posted to that.[SUP]

We're so used to the US and Canada being so big compared to European countries, we tend to assume other places are just smaller. Thanks for the map showing the relative size of Australia compared to other continents. I've been there and it is a really big and wondrous place. And though the distances are great, the population isn't nearly as big and the US, making places seem even more isolated.

Hang in there. Looks like you folks have "winter" introductions also. Your June equates to our December if I am right.

And to put it into perspective even more, New Zealand which is South East of Australia will fit inside Australia about 10 times lolol and a population of 4.4 Million, which is the around the same as the State of NSW in Australia.
We will get the F3 here around the same time as Australia, I ordered mine about 2 days after the US Launch.
I will be in Sydney for the launch on 12th May as a VIP Guest of my Dealer here in NZ, so hopefully will get to see and sit on one. And I have been annoying them asking if I can ride one during the dealers ride day lolol.
Im sure the wait will be worth it, and unless there is snow or a serious weather warning I will be putting some kms on it the day I get it. I ride all year round, all I worry about is whether to wear wet gear or warm gear, or both lolol
