• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Arthur pays a visit

Arthur is paying us a visit. Not too bad here. Getting heavy rain thunderstorm from the outer bands. Some wind, nothing bad though. Friend of ours on the coast has been without power since around 7:30. Coast getting hit hard. Upgraded to Cat 2. Glad I'm not in rescue/recovery anymore or I'd be in a EOC or on the scene. Don't need these kind of fireworks.

Been there..!!

having lived in florida three time have been in a few. Do hope all over there get through this one safely and there is littke or no damages..:pray: Be safe..!!

Heading this way, we'll be asleep as it passes by.

No big trees to fall through the bedroom.

I don't think you'll feel much. I think the highest sustained winds have been around 60 mph onshore. Off shore 110 mph. I'm 2 hours inland by road and highest gust here was early this afternoon, 35 mph. Sustained has been 10. Had a gust about 15 minutes ago at 22. Most of the inland damage was from small tornadoes. All tornado warnings have been canceled in the area. Still under tornado watch in coastal counties. New Hanover county (Wilmington) has already closed their EOC.

I'm only 9-10 miles from the ocean. :yikes:

Our biggest worries are usually losing power in these things.

Having to set up the generator and all.

All good no damage here. We were only 43 miles form the eye. Still windy but no more rain.
