• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hey Ron, conflicting info on logos & placement, any REAL photos of front/back/sides?

Can anyone that has ordered & recieved this jacket post some close-up pics of the jacket? Im not a fan of logos besides SPYDER related, & in the stock pics Ron has posted, they look like they are all over, but one forum member posted here that their were NONE on the front & just small ones on the arms & back. Any help out there? Thanks y'all :bowdown:

Here is what happened and it was my bad. I was not paying attention. There is a little SP in the title of the logo version of this jacket and the last batch of jackets that were sent were the Non-Logo version. I will be contacting those who received the Non-Logo version because they ordered the Logo version... Everyone confused yet?

The Non-Logo version is $10.00 cheaper ($88 delivered instead of the $98 for the Logo version). For those of you who received this Non-Logo jacket instead of the promised Logo version I will either exchange for the correct jacket or refund the $10 difference if you would rather keep the jacket you received.

The jackets are identical EXCEPT for the Logos (or lack of)

Here are the 2 versions (using the Silver/Black as example).

RON on the Mesh-Tex 2.0 pants are they waterproof ? got pockets and what sizes do you still have ???........and why don't they have a yellow jacket it's faster ....:roflblack:

The solid black is all sold out and they didn't offer a green. I've got other solid black mesh jackets but I'm not sure I have a men's jacket with green.

The Mesh-Tex 2.0 pants are not waterproof. They do have pockets and zippered legs to get on and off over boots. The only sizes I have in this pant is men's 36 & 38. I do have the current production Mesh-Tex pants in all sizes including Tall and Short + Women's sizes.

Sorry, missed this question too!

The Speed & Strength jacket is comperable to the Firstgear jacket. They are both entry level, mesh armored jackets. The S&S jacket has a bit heavier balistic nylon mesh than the new Firstgear Mesh-Tex jacket and about the same as the older Firstgear Mesh-Tex jacket. It will give you more protection with very little difference in cooling effect.

The Firstgear Rush Mesh-Tex is a step up from the Mesh-Tex but material and cooling are the same. The Rush has a few additional features but the same basic jacket. It is only a few bucks more than the Mesh-Tex.

I wear the older, heavier mesh material Firstgear Mesh-Tex jacket (heavier meaning a bit thicker strand, the weight difference is not much at all). The mesh allows a great deal of air into and through the jacket regardless of the strand size.

At this price it is a great deal. I have not had a single customer that was not very happy with this jacket.

People have been asking for pictures of the back of this jacket. I don't have anything other than black for the back of the Non-Logo version. The white lines along the sides are reflective piping that really lights you up at night.

Have you got the silver/black non-logo available in the larger women's sizes? Say XXL, XXXL?
 
Ron, received my jacket this afternoon and I think Large was the way to go! Thanks for being a great resource and I can't wait to try it out when I get to Cuba for Spyderfest. And I can't wait until you get to see now nice the jacket looks on me when YOU COME TO SPYDERFEST (sorry for pressuring you outside of the thread that Lamont started). :thumbup:
