• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Works for me...actually planning on being in on the 17th...hoping that someone (hint, hint) will organize a ryde or two in the ABQ area....thanks for everything.

I'm game for pretty much anything, but I do have to work 8-5 on Monday. After that I'm wide open! I figured after riding all the way in on the 17th, y'all would need a little R&R and then we can get serious. :)

If you want a tour guide on Sunday, let me know. I'd be happy to take you for a nice short (30 minutes each way) ride along Tramway at the base of the mountain to Bernalillo and we can grab some grub at the Flying Star there. We could also do Tierre Verde on the way. Quick diversion with some fun twisties.

On Monday, I'm happy to show you around. And I'll be available after 5pm. That's why I thought dinner would be a nice idea and we could discuss where we want to ride Tuesday. I'm 100% at your disposal all day Tuesday.

Murphy-our group will be ther on the 17th also-probably by early afternoon. Also staying at the Ramada. Be sure and hook up with us. I know the area okay and so does one of our other riders. I don't figure many others will be there quite that early, so we may have Albuquerque to ourselves- and our own personal tourguide.

We would have loved to do this with all but had plans already. Staying in Albuquerque on the 18th then riding to Los Alamos on the 19th and staying there to visit family then to Durango on the 20th over the mountain.

You can still do dinner with us at Route 66 Diner on the 18th!

RAMADA

We have our room reserved at the Ramada for the 19th. Thanks for getting the rooms blocked off!

Crap! I really have to visit this site more often. What ride to Durango? I'm already in Albuquerque, so I'm up for a good ride! Keep me posted ABQ.

It occurred to me today--if you are going to be in town in Albuquerque prior to Durango, and are considering a nice ride to the crest, here is a video showing the ride:

If you are interested in NM-337, here is a video showing that ride:

If you are interested in doing Route 66, here is another:

And if you would like to ride along Tramway to Bernalillo--the link is here....(and if you don't like loud music, turn your volume down).

Whatever the group wants to do--I'm game. Please note that some of these videos are not accessible from a mobile device due to copyright issues, but all are available from a Mac or PC.
Can't wait!!

Great videos. Very well done!! :firstplace:
Kinda digging that Dropkick Murphys tune. I'll have to check into them a bit more!

Thanks SteveMac!

So everyone knows--I spoke with the Ramada Inn in ABQ today and we've booked 19 room days so far. So that means we're 1 away from the free room. If you are interested in the free room, please PM me and I will draw a name. I'm actually thinking of putting all the names on my Spyder's seat and revving the engine, and letting the last one remaining on the seat be the winner. :) Anyway--if you'd like a free room on the 19th--PM me.

Thanks!
