• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Okay--Candlewood Suites also got back with me and has a lot to offer. They are blocking rooms for us under "Spyder Motorcycle Club" for a discounted rate of $75.99 for a Studio Suite. These have FULL kitchens, free internet, free movies, and FREE LAUNDRY! The do have one king bed, so this would be ideal for couples. Pretty sweet deal and they're actually renovating right now, so by June everything will be brand new.

Just one more option for you folks!

Best,
--ABQ

Thanks ABQ_spyderman! Booked the Ramada for the 17th,18th and 19th. As promised $59.00 for us Spyder people! Great location as well!

Recommend you get the "free" room...

I also spoke with group sales at the Ramada Inn off I-40, and they can offer us $59/nt group rate with a complimentary upgrade that gives each room 2 x queen beds, refrigerator, & microwave. It also includes Free breakfast (eggs, coffee, muffins, juice, etc.). If we get 20 rooms, they will give us one free room. This sounds pretty good! They also have a ton of parking, and it's in a pretty decent part of town with great freeway access.

OK...I already have res there..but will change to the group as soon as know this is nailed down. I recommend you take the free room...you are doing all the "leg" work and setting this up...don't see the 20 rooms beiong an issue and that is a great rate... thanks for all your work. :clap:Update: Just called and changed to SMC rate of $59 nite...easy peasy....thanks so much for laying the groundwork...

Thanks, but I live here! :) I'll be sleeping under my own roof. If/when we hit 20 I'll post that we have the requisite amount and ask who needs that room the most.

Owens9Finger and Spiderwoman arriving in Albuquerqe the morning of the 19th. Room reserved at Ramada Inn.

Hats off again to Spyderman for going the extra mile for all of us. :2thumbs:

For those that will be here on the evening of the 18th I think we should get together for dinner at the Route 66 Diner. They have a large back room we could reserve. And if everyone's up to it--we could do breakfast on the 19th and then head out for a day of riding. Just let me know if you're interested and I'll set it up!

Count in the North Texas Gang-we are all at the Ramada so far. Arriving on the 17th for some Albuquerque hospitality. Three Spyders/ 6 people right now-probably going to add a couple more.

I would hope a few more are going.

Ed and Kathy signed up on the meet-up site to go (I'm sure you saw it) but don't know for sure what they are doing. It would be great if they went with us. By the way, you should check out the Holiday Inn Express we got for going to and coming back the event. Brand new, good part of town and Larry set us up for $85 a night. Up to you, but if you feel like changing your route back, we'd love to have you on the ride.
