• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Friday's weather for our neck of the woods is looking good enough for a nice ride! :2thumbs:
Who wants to shop when there's a good road in front of you, and good weather overhead?

i'm going outdoors, in the deep woods of upstate ny, to sit in a tree with a loaded rifle. need i say more?:ohyea:

Since the wife has all her Christmas shopping done, she plans on going to the mall, sitting in one of the Massage chairs, and watching the wildlife for a while... :)

That reminds me of one of my favorite quotes.

A liberal news-ette with an obvious bias asked a Marine sniper returning from Afghanistan, 'What do you feel when you take aim on a man and pull the trigger?'.

The Marine shrugged and replied; 'Recoil'.

(is that political?):opps:

Wait a minute... Bob riding???? [checks the signs of the apocolypse list]

Rode yesterday, riding today and tomorrow as well! :2thumbs:
I think that the end of our season is approaching; Sunday they are forecasting about a 15 degree drop in our temperatures... :gaah:

I work at a retail store in the mall, Kirkland's. Going in at midnight , working until 8 AM. All prayers will be appreciated:pray::pray:

I remember way back when the "Tickle Me Elmo" was so hot, that there was a shortage in the stores. We knew a girl from church who had one. She bought it before they were popular. I so wanted to borrow that thing, go down to the mall, and just ride it around in a shopping cart, telling folks who asked that "they just put out a bunch at Sears!!" or whatever store was at the opposite end of where I was. Then we could watch the fun, or have half the mall to ourselves for shopping...

My condolences! Try to enjoy it:opps:

I know that this is really upsetting for some folks that work in big retail stores, but try to make the best of it. I worked shift work for several years as a Correctional Officer and had to sacrifice many Holidays. Now that I have an administrative position working normal hours, I learned to appreciate the Holidays a whole lot more.

I wont be shopping on Black Friday. Don't like the crowds and there is no door buster out there except for the new Honda Goldwing F6 for $8995. (just kidding)--that I would be interested in.

Worked in retail for 29 plus years before changing careers so have had my share of Black Fridays from the other side of the counter. It was not so crazy then.

I love the Elmo trick. That would have been something that I would have tried. :roflblack:

I shall be at work on overtime. I'll be sitting there taking calls from people in lines at the stores--who call 911--complaining about people shoving, line jumping, arguing, etc. ......good times...... NOT!!!! I'm just a glutton for punishment....and some extra cash.... :2thumbs:

I can't recall the number of times I had to work on Thanksgiving and Christmas when I was on active duty. I do recall one Thanksgiving when I worked 24 hours straight through. Now I think of all those who are doing it so we can celebrate. Sorry, didn't mean to take away from the fun of Ron's post. Black Friday? They can keep it. I don't play well in crowds.

Don't have to wait for cyber Monday

Some of the online sales go live Wednesday night, more on Thursday night. Most of my shopping is and has been online for several years. I do venture out close to Christmas to check out the decorations and get stocking stuffers.
Looking like I may venture out to Cabela's on black Friday to try and snag a Bushmaster for my collection, and some Zombie max ammo just for display (display the box that is!)
