There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Are these Hi Revs @ highway speeds an issue? OK for all-day travel?

I just purchased a 2024 Ryker 900 Rally. My concern is the high revs at highway speeds. At 65 mph the engine is revving at 6k rpm. I hear the high revving engine is normal, but can I sustain 65 - 70 mph over a day trip? I want to get the Ryker on the twisties in TN, NC and VA. But I have to ride from central Ohio to VA.

Not really an issue in my opinion. We just did a 2800 mile trip from NJ to Halifax, Nova Scotia. Mix of secondary roads and highways. We did some long stretches of 75 mph without issues. 60 mph on secondary much more enjoyable though. Both Rykers have about 9000 fun filled miles on them. Just ride it.

These engines are designed to do that, and with the CVT, those sorta revs are necessary or you'd have a top speed of about 40 mph!

So put your mind at rest, they ARE NOT high revs for your engine, and engines of this design from the same manufacturer have proven to be capable of reliably sustaining that sort of rev level continuously for days on end!! Just try to keep the revs below the Red Line as much as you can, but don't be too stressed if you reach it & maybe go over every now & then, just so long as you don't hold them up there for hours!! The very same engine in other applications does have a higher rev limit, so a few seconds won't kill it! Enjoy! :ohyea:

I use smaller machines for my solo touring mounts and often spend long periods at what some consider high RPM's. Engines today are modern marvels and as long as properly maintained will run for years even at high RPM's. Liquid cooling will keep the engine temp in an acceptable range and that is a biggie when it comes to high RPM riding. Go, have fun and be safe.
