• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Are these good floor boards?

They look nice but I do have a concern about them. There is nothing to support the front of the boards and if a big guy puts his weight on the board to mount the Spyder it could snap off the mount on the Spyder. At least with the ISCI boards they have a front and rear mounting point. I'm sure it will be fine if you don't step on them to get on the Spyder. They do look nice. :doorag:

I read somewhere in their description that they do not recommend putting too much weight or force on them. Just like the Billet Bike Parts brackets, they are only for a foot 'rest'.

The big difference is the BBP highway boards are not anywhere near where you would think of using them to mount the Spyder, these are and you can bet somebody will.

I have had the ICI floorboards for months now and use them to mount and dismount from the Spyder. I have a long torso, but short legs. Before I would scrape the seat with my foot everytime I tried to get on. Now even tho I weigh over 250 #, I have no problems, and the floorboards are straight as ever. Sometimes it is better to pay a little more and get the best. The brake pedal push part is hinged and I have the handbrake. If I have my foot in the way, the hinged part of the brake moves up.

What they hold

I asked the guy, they will hold 200 lbs. I have a better idea, to make sort of a cross between this and the other more expensive floorboards, unfortunately, I don't have the skills or tools required.

Perhaps you could work together with someone like Kewl Metals or NMN to design what you are thinking of. You never know, it might just be the next big thing.

those are the one's I saw on ebay and posted about a couple of days ago....
In the description, they say they are tested for 400 lbs. They also go on to say that BRP does not recommend changing the geometry of the brake or shifter, like ISCI does.
Who is right?
Waiting on the review of the new floorboards from forum members and a website with more pictures...

The ISCI brake setup gives you increased brake pressure because of the added lenght to the brake pedal, therefor increased leverage. I have seen this on the budds service program when I was checking with my dealer the pressure I could get from the hand brake. Thats funny that BRP would say that since they changed it on the RT. Talk is cheap and facts are facts.
