• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Are fog lights worth the price?

Really! A Grand for HID's? I think I have less than $200 in my set.

You have to be sure you've got them adjusted right. The HID's are very bright and if set too high they will really upset people.

Yep the BRP kit MSRP is that but comes with new headlight assemblies .

Yes, Really.

They were adjusted right and they actually cost me (with installation) about $1500. They were the "official" BRP lights that were available for the 2008 GS/RS. I was thinking, $750 per bulb at the time.

Would not do it again--way to much money. Lots of aftermarket stuff out there now. My dealer don't like messing with aftermarket stuff--but that's another story.

There is a thread telling how to use the BRP HID lights meant for RS or RSS on the ST. You just have to alter the connectors. Might be worth looking up for those looking for OEM HID lights.

From what little I know about hids it does not seem possible. Where is this thread you are talking about??

Today I purchased DDMturning HID kit for my ST-S headlights and fog lights all for under $100. I have their HID's in my Colorado Extreme and Vette for about 5 years now with no issues. I'm very satisfied:thumbup::thumbup:

Any Issues

When installing these kits did you get any fault codes after the install on the spyder?

If you get a cheaply made set you'll have issues. Issues vary, but the ballasts are the culprit. Cheaply made ballasts put out a lot of radio and electromagnetic noise which interferes with the ECU or computer that controls all the systems on the Spyder.

If the interference is great enough to scramble the data to the ECU then it will start throwing codes and may simply shut down altogether. Believe me, been there, done that. Get a well made set and you'll be fine.

I haven't received them yet. But according to DDMturng and others they said there shouldn't be any issues. I'll post after they are installed.

I would like to know how it works out. The issue with some previous aftermarket hids was the electrical noise. It would cause lots of communication faults. Engine would run badly and se5 models would have problems shifting.
