I have a 2023 Spyder F3. It did not come with a "radio" or working volume control (but has the volume buttons on the LH control pods. The F3-T on the other hand does come with a radio and working volume buttons.
All 2023 F3 variants share the same cluster. Looking through my available menus I do not have some settings (I used the radio as an example).
So my question is this: Are some things such as radio and radio controls/settings a simple firmware difference, and if so, can BUDS activate it? Or are certain options hardware related - meaning that the cluster and firmware is the same, but it senses when a radio is connected, or a specific input is present that tells the cluster to "enable" the radio? Looking through the parts and service manual diagrams there are a few harness differences but not a lot.
In the industry I work in, our equipment has one master code that is flashed to our frequency drives. The drive recognizes specific inputs or resistances from inputs to know what model it is and outputs the proper interface and motor controls. Maybe BRP does something similar?
