arai vector helmet adaptor for winter riding

was wondering if anyone has used/seen a bigger adaptor that goes over your face on top to keep you face from getting wind burned OR from fogging the lens, I have a thermal lens inside the shield but it still will fog in really cold use.

I have a aerostich wind stopper, gauntlets and tenknic cold weather gloves all of which are ok for super cold weather.

Not sure exactly what you're looking for. Arai does make a large, cloth breath guard that blocks your breath from the shield (which is what causes it to fog.

Arai also makes a Pinlock Ready shield and the Pinlock inserts prevent (or greatly reduce, fogging.

Both work well for fogging.

But though the large breath deflector will help, neither of these will keep wind off your face.

Heated shields work great for fogging or ice buildup. You have to plug them into a power source (usually a teather to the bike, but if you're already wearing electric gear it's not a big deal).

Problem with the electric shield is that they are dual pane and will give a somewhat distorted vision. I guess it's not a big deal on a snowmobile but I've heard it isn't good for street riding.

I have never tried one myself though.

I have to admit never having tried either the Pinlock or Fog City, but I've sold quite a few and customer concensus is the Pinlock works better than Fog City. Though I have some customers that swear by Fog City (but they haven't tried Pinlock so who knows).

The main advantage to the Pinlock system are the locating pins in the shield. But you can use Pinlock without the locating pins. Pretty much like the Fog City product.
